spent black seeds on the deck
beneath the feeder.

hoppy junco checks the husks.

This is a writing space for small stones. What is a small stone? "A small stone is a polished moment of paying proper attention." You can find some examples, here or here. Writing in micro-form is perfect for paying attention to daily moments, and it is a great practice of mindfulness. There is no pressure to write to a certain form.
