perigee moon


over my left shoulder
as I drove south home
the perigee moon rose
bright and brilliant
from the east

rare beauty - beaming
its golden orange luminescence
just out of reach
of the landscape

The perigee moon was the full moon seen on Saturday, March 19, 2011, early evening after sunset. Brilliant!
